Wiltshire House is a mixed-use building destine to become Richmond’s future heritage. The development is Fortis’s first collaboration with award-winning SJB Architects and will be our first carbon neutral project, designed to exceed guidelines for environmental performance.
The design pays homage to Richmond’s diverse identity, drawing inspiration from the area’s Victorian architecture, post-industrial reuse, and modernist interventions.
The building’s form, geometry, and materiality are carefully crafted to reflect and resonate with the local context, with vaulted and arched forms distinguishing the ground level and entry, and the striking emerald green facade evoking nearby tiled shopfronts, pubs, and corner stores.
Our design strategy embraced this sense of place, while positioning the development as an aspirational choice for driven, optimistic, and influential leaders who value a life filled with enjoyment, and saw the opportunity to be early adopters of the revitalization of Richmond.
